German-based biopharma vendor, Sartorius, has attributed single-use bioprocessing equipment as its main growth point after reporting a 16% jump in sales for 2015.
Sartorius generated sales of $1.1 bn, 16% higher than the previous year. Group CEO, Dr Joachim Kreuzburg, said the company’s growth driver was “yet again” the Bioprocess Solutions Division. The division, which provides technologies and services to the biomanufacturing industry, itself grew 21% year on year. Much of the growth is attributable to demand for single-use products. And Dr Kreuzburg added that Sartorius operates “in an exceptional dynamic market where we also gained further share.” Sartorius also encountered strengthening uptake from the US for single-use products during the third quarter of trading.
