FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies has opened a 62,000-square-foot facility in Morrisville to house its bioprocess research and development groups.
The new building, called the BioProcess Innovation Center, will conduct contract development and manufacturing of recombinant biopharmaceuticals including proteins, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies.
Steve Bagshaw, chief executive officer at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, said the completion of the building reflected his company’s drive to bring the best of breed solutions to market.
“The construction and completion of this building reflects the continued commitment of our organisation to provide our clients with the infrastructure to efficiently and innovatively bring their products to the clinic and beyond for the benefit of their patients,” explained Mr Bagshaw.
Company president, Martin Meeson, added: “The design of the facility reflects our core philosophy of cross-functional collaboration to research and process development which is a key differentiator of our company.”
The facility is based at 6051 George Watts Hill Drive.
