A new survey has highlighted inadequate storage, management and training for hazardous chemicals as a top 10 supply chain concern facing businesses in China.
The global supply chain experts Sedex partnered with risk analytics specialists Maplecroft in an extensive audit of 19,328 businesses in China.
The report, entitled Sedex Responsible Sourcing Insights Briefing, concludes that 55.7% of all issues raised funnel directly into the areas of health, safety and hygiene.
4% of respondents also held concerns over “inadequate” storage facilities, labelling, training and containment.
Sedex, a not-for-profit membership organisation, is a leading driver of improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
