Supporting the superb charity Samaritans

ALLpaQ Packaging Group is proud to support Samaritans in its mission to ensure everyone has someone to talk to when they need it. 

ALLpaQ managing director, Phill Allen, praised the “wonderful work” of the charity in its drive to reduce the feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide. 

“Each month, members of our bioprocess specialist team pick their chosen charity to receive a donation of £250,” explained Mr Allen. “We were thrilled to support Samaritans in June, particularly as this charity is one close to the hearts of a number of our colleagues.”

Every day, Samaritans respond to around 10,000 calls for help. They answer with no judgement or pressure, promising to be there for anyone who needs someone.

£10 a month could help Samaritans keep its helpline open for just over 1 minute every month. This is long enough for its volunteers to answer around 100 calls for help.

Samaritans volunteers are here, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. The charity gives people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And, Samaritans encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives.  The charity works tirelessly to reach more people and to make suicide prevention a priority.
