allpaq-blog-single-use-investmentBiomanufacturing professionals have pinpointed improved flexibility and increased ROI as key drivers behind why they are making the move to single-use systems.
The findings come as part of a comprehensive online survey carried out by Pharma IQ who generated feedback from stakeholders around the world.
According to the survey, single-use and disposable technologies have been gaining momentum in the biopharmaceuticals industry over the past decade.
Key drivers behind this, include:

  • 81% of respondents cited improved flexibility
  • 30% of respondents cited reduced time to market
  • 23% of respondents cited increased ROI
  • 64% of respondents cited reduced cross-contamination issues

The report says that whilst the advantages of single-use technology are clear, the market is yet to reach maturity. This is partially down to the fact that the industry remains unclear on standards and regulatory guidance.
